Casket delivery
If
you are waiting for casket delivery, it is a good thing to remember
that delivering a casket is much different from delivering other things.
The process that goes into ordering and then delivering a casket is
not exactly complex, but it isn’t necessarily simple either. There
are a few steps in the casket delivery process. The steps are:
• Order - In most cases, if you order a casket online, it is
probably going to be somewhere not too close that is going to need to
be delivered. The delivery method depends on how soon the casket is
needed. Sometimes these caskets are delivered by plane while other times
they are delivered by truck. The method really depends on the urgency
that exists to receive it.
• Load - After the order for the casket has been made, it is
up to the casket maker and distributor to ensure that the casket is
sent out in a time frame that is quick enough for people to be able
to get the casket when it is needed. Most reputable casket makers already
have deals with businesses like FedEx and UPS so speedy delivery is
probably not going to be a problem.
• Arrival - After the casket has been sent, it should be set
to arrive at some point in the very near future from the time it was
sent. Most likely you are not going to want this casket delivered to
your home. According to the Federal Trade Commission, if you order a
casket from somebody else, other than the funeral home, the funeral
home must still accept and use the casket you have ordered.
The casket delivery method really does not need to worry you very much.
Most reputable casket makers have delivered millions of caskets so they
know what they are doing.
