Copper caskets
Copper
has been used throughout history as waterproof roofing and piping because
of its resistant qualities. Since copper does not react with water,
anything made out of copper will provide excellent protection against
seepage without corroding–making copper caskets the standard in
durability.
The popularity and demand for copper caskets has risen steadily over
the last couple years. People are catching on to copper’s strength
and resistance to rust; ensuring that whatever coffin they pick will
be able to withstand the test of time. Many also prefer the metallic
finish to a cloth-covered or wooden finish.
Copper caskets have become a staple for any respected coffin-manufacturer.
It is important to remember, however, that even though a casket is made
out of a precious metal like bronze or copper, no coffin can guarantee
complete preservation. A rust-proof coffin will only prevent damage
to the exterior, but nothing can stop human decomposition.
