When choosing a funeral urn, there are several things to consider. First, you will want to consider how the deceased would like to be remembered. It can help the grieving process to think about the deceased’s life and preferences.
You may also consider where you plan to keep or display this urn. Some families choose an honored, visible and prominent place in the home for the urn to be displayed. Others choose to put the urn away for safe keeping.
The styles of urn can vary from ornate to simple. Some urns have the name and date of birth and death engraved or painted on the actual urn. Other decorative painting or carving can further embellish the urn. Plain and simple urns are also a great option and tend to fit into many décors without calling undue attention.
